I am Ximena Guerrero, a 28-year-old graphic designer based in Mexico City. I am passionate about transforming information into compelling stories, and driving change through design.
I studied graphic design at Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico City) and I have complementary studies in Elisava (Barcelona), UAL Central Saint Martins (London), IDEO U, Centro and the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (Mexico City). I am currently doing an MPS in Data Analytics & Visualization at the Maryland Institute College of Arts.
I currently lead the Content & Design department at Mercatitlán, an education start-up in Mexico City. I have worked in design firms and independently for clients such as Unilever, Tec de Monterrey, Mary Kay, Gentera, Christel House de México, Prodemex, and for small and medium-sized companies in various fields. I have experience in information design and storytelling, editorial design, branding, animation, illustration, and concept development.
I am convinced that good design gives meaning to the world we live in. It not only solves problems but also enriches the experience and elevates people's quality of life. Likewise, design generates value for companies and positively impacts the user on an emotional level.
As a designer, I look for opportunities to create authentic change in the way people live, think and relate to the world. I want to develop comprehensive concepts and communications built on a solid foundation and with ample possibilities to evolve in the future, enriched through professionalism, attention to detail, and originality.
I sincerely believe that design is one of the best and most potent weapons human beings have to change the world and make it a better place.
